Sesame Seed Fried Custard Recipe

1. Sesame seeds (1/2c)
2. oil for deep frying (2 to 4 c)
3. cornstarch (1/4c)
4. vanilla (1tsp)
5. beaten eggs (3)
6. water (1 1/2c)
7. granulated sugar (2tbsp)
8. flour (1c)
9. powdered sugar (1/4c)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a dry pan, toast sesames seeds in it at 300 degrees for about 20 minutes until they get light brown in color. Keep them to cool and then mix them with powdered sugar and keep aside.
2. Take a bowl, add flour in it and mix it with granulated sugar. Then add ½ cup of water in it and mix beaten eggs in it. Mix it until the mixture gets smooth.
3. Take a saucepan, add 1 cup of water in it and keep it to boil. Then add flour mixture in it. Cook it over moderate heat by stirring until it gets thickened. Then add vanilla and mix it well.
4. Take a Pyrex dish of 8-inch –square, grease it and then pour the mixture in it. Pat the mixture with hand to ½ inch thickness. Place the dish in refrigerator to cool it. Then cut it into 1 ½ inches long and ½ inch wide strips.
5. Take a pan, heat oil in it over moderate heat. Coat the strips with cornstarch and fry them in hot oil for about 3 minutes until they get light brown color. Then take out the strips from oil and place in a plate. Sprinkle the sesame seed mixture over them and serve them hot.
