Chocolate Angel Tarts Recipe

Ingredients
1. Semisweet chocolate chips (1c)
2. whipping or heavy cream, whipped (2c)
3. vanilla extract (2tsp)
4. chopped pecans (1c)
5. granulated sugar (1c)
6. cream of tartar (1/4tsp)
7. egg whites (4large)
8. vanilla extract (1tsp)

Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, beat cream of tartar and egg whites in it until the mixture gets foamy. Gently add sugar in it and beat it regularly at high speed until stiff peaks form. Then add vanilla and chopped pecans in it.

2. Take a baking sheet, line it with aluminum foil, place the mixture with spoon into 8 portions on the sheet. With the back of the spoon, give it the shape of 5-inch diameter shell.

3. Place the sheet in oven and bake it at 300 degrees F for about 30 to 40 minutes. Turn off the oven and keep the sheet in the oven for 1 to 2 hours with closed door of oven until the tarts becomes firm and dry. Then take them out and keep them to cool. Now remove the aluminum foil and place the tarts on a tray.

4. Take a double boiler; melt the semi-sweet chocolate in it over hot water. Keep it to cool and then blend vanilla in it. Beat the cream until it gets stiff and then add it to melted chocolate. Place it on mennigue shells and then place them in the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.

Makes 8 servings
