Chocolate Chiffon Cake Recipe

1. Cake flour (1 3/4c)
2. baking soda (1 1/2c)
3. vegetable oil (1/2c)
4. vanilla extract (2tsp)
5. boiling water (3/4c)
6. vegetable oil (1/2c)
7. eggs separated (7)
8. chopped nuts (1tbsp)
9. cream of tartar (1/4tsp)
10. baking cocoa (1/2c)
11. salt (1tsp)
12. sugar (1 3/4c)
For icing :-
1. margarine or butter (1/3c)
2. hot water (3tbsp)
3. vanilla extract (1 1/2tsp)
4. confectioner sugar (2c)
5. chocolate, unsweetened and melted (2squares)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a pan of medium, mix cocoa and water in it until the mixture becomes smooth and then keep it to cool for about 20 minutes.
2. Take a mixing bowl, mix flour, baking soda, sugar and salt in it and then add cocoa mixture, vanilla, oil and egg yolk in it. Blend this mixture until it gets smooth.
3. Take another mixing bowl, add cream of tartar in it and then beat egg whites in it. Add this mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Take a tube pan, pour the mixture in it and then place the pan in oven and bake it for about 1 hour at 325 degrees F. Take out the tube pan from the oven and then remove the cake from it.
4. For Icing; take a saucepan of medium size, melt butter in it. Then take off the pan from heat and mix sugar, chocolate and vanilla in it. Add enough water to get the desired consistency. Then spread this mixture over the cake and then dust the nuts on the top. Now the cake is ready to serve.
