Chocolate Cream Cake Recipe

1. Devil’s food cake mix (1package about 18.25 ounce)
2. milk (3/4c)
3. shortening (1/2c)
4. vanilla extract (1tsp)
5. sugar (1 1/4c)
6. softened butter (1/2c)
For Glaze:-
1. Cornstarch (3tbsp)
2. baking cocoa (1/3c)
3. sugar (1c)
4. vanilla extract (1tsp)
5. butter (3tbsp)
6. cold water (1c)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a baking pan of 13*9*2-inch, grease and flour it. Prepare and bake the cake according to the instructions on the package of cake mix. Keep the cake in pan for 10 minutes to cool and then place on wire rack to cool completely.
2. To prepare filling, take a large mixing bowl, add butter, sugar and shortening in it and then cream the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy. Heat milk in a saucepan to 140 degrees F and then add it to the creamed mixture.
3. Beat the mixture until sugar gets dissolved and then mix vanilla in it. Cut the cake into two layers, horizontally. Spread the filling over the bottom layer and then place the other cake layer on the top.
4. Now to prepare glaze, take a large saucepan, mix cornstarch, cocoa and sugar in it and then add water in it. Keep it to boil and then cook it for about 2 minutes by stirring until the mixture gets thickened.
5. Then take off the pan from heat and mix vanilla and butter in it until it becomes smooth. Keep it to cool slightly and then spread it over the top of the cake, keep it until it gets set and then serve it. Place the leftover cake in the refrigerator.
