Chocolate Ladyfinger Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
Dutch process cocoa (¾ cup), Semisweet chocolate (2 squares), Ladyfingers (23), Grand Marnier or other orange flavored liquor (¼ cup), Cornstarch (¼ cup), Frozen reduced-calorie whipped topping thawed (1-1/2 cups), Skim milk (2 cups), Stick margarine (3 tablespoons), Salt (¼ teaspoon), Sugar (1 cup), Powdered sugar (1 tbsp)

Method Of Preparation:-
Take a large saucepan and add sugar, cocoa, salt and cornstarch in it. Combine them well and add skim milk with continuously stirring. Stir it to blend them well. Now add chopped chocolate and boil it on the medium heat. With continuous stirring cook it for 1 minute and add margarine. Again cook it for one minute. Now remove it from the heat and place the pan in the bowl containing ice to cool it down. Let it be there for 10- 12 minutes or until the chocolate attains the temp equivalent to room temperature. Now remove the pan from the ice and spoon around the ½ cup of chocolate mixture into a bowl. Gently fold it in the whipped topping. Cover and chill it. Set aside the rest of the chocolate. Now take a pan and wrap it with the heavy duty plastic. Now split the ladyfingers in half lengthwise and arrange 9 halves in a 3 row, in a single layer, at the bottom and spread 1 tbsp of Grand Marnier over it followed by ½ cup of chocolate mixture. Repeat this procedure three times. Cover and chill for at least 10 hrs. Uncover it and place it on the platter and sprinkle powdered sugar over it.
