German Chocolate Surprise Cake Recipe

For Cake:- Self rising flour (1 1/4c), eggs (2), vanilla (1tsp), butter or margarine, softened (1/2c), granulated sugar (1c), water (1/4c), sweet baking chocolate (2 oz).
For Topping:- Butter or margarine, melted (1/4c), flaked coconut (1/2c), packed brown sugar (1/2c), chopped pecans (1c).
Method of preparation:-
First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take an ungreased round pan of 9-inches. Take a bowl, mix all the topping ingredients in it and then spread them in ungreased pan. Take a microwavable bowl of small size, add ¼ cup of water and chocolate in it. Microwave it on high for about 1 minute until the chocolate gets melted. Mix it until it gets blended. Take a bowl of medium size, add ½ cup of butter and granulated sugar in it. Beat this mixture on medium speed with an electric mixer until it becomes light and fluffy. Then beat eggs and vanilla in it until it gets well blended. Now add ¾ cup of flour and milk in it and beat it on low speed and then add the rest of the flour in it and beat it well. Add this mixture into the chocolate mixture; mix it well until it gets blended. Now pour batter over the topping in pan. Place the pan in oven and bake it for about 40 to 45 minutes until the wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Loosen the cake by running a knife around the edges. Take serving plate, invert the cake on it and then remove the pan and serve it warm or cool.
