Pumpkin Chocolate Dessert Cake Recipe

1. All purpose flour (2 2/3c)
2. baking soda (1tsp)

4. pumpkin pie spice (1 1/2tbsp)
5. unsweetened cocoa powder (2/3c)
6. white sugar (2c)
7. butter (3/4c)
8. beaten eggs (3)
9. applesauce (1/3c)
10. pumpkin (1can about 15 ounce)
11. heavy cream (1/2c)
12. confectioner sugar (1c)
13. heavy cream (1/3c)
14. butter (1/2c)
15. brown sugar (1c)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. Take a Bundt pan of 9 inches, lightly grease it.
2. Take a bowl of medium size; add flour, baking soda, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice mix, cocoa powder in it. Mix all these ingredients well and keep the bowl aside.
3. Take another bowl of large size, beat eggs, applesauce, 2 cups of sugar, ¾ cup of butter in it and then mix pumpkin and ½ cup of heavy cream in it. Now add this mixture to the flour mixture and mix it until it gets blended. Now spread the mixture in the prepared pan.
4. Place the pan in the oven and bake it for about 40 minutes until the knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Then keep it to cool over the wire rack. When it gets cool then invert the cake on a serving plate.
5. Take a saucepan of medium size, put 1/3 cup of heavy cream, ½ cup of butter and brown sugar in it. Keep it to boil by stirring until it gets smooth.
6. Cook it until the sugar gets dissolved, mix confectioner sugar in it and then sprinkle it at once over the cake. Now cut the cake in pieces and serve it.
