Blackberry Cake With Icing Recipe

Ingredients
1. Seedless blackberry jam (1/2 cup)
2. ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
3. flour (1 cup)
4. eggs (2 large)
5. butter (1/4 cup)
6. sugar (1/2 cup)
7. butter milk (1/3 cup)
8. ground nutmeg (1/4 tsp)
9. ground cloves (1/4 tsp)
10. baking soda (1/2 tsp)
11. chopped walnuts (1/4 cup)

For icing:-
1. Brown sugar (1/2 cup packed)
2. butter (2 tbsp)
3. sifted powdered sugar (1 ¾ cup)
4. milk (3 tbsp)

Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, beat butter and sugar in it until the mixture becomes creamy and then beat eggs in it.

2. Take a small bowl, mix flour and spices in it and then add this mixture into the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Beat the mixture after each addition. Carefully add the nuts and blackberry jam in it.

3. Take a baking pan of 9*9*2-inch, lightly grease and flour it. Pour the mixture in the pan and then place the pan in the oven. Bake it for 25 minutes at 350 degrees F. Bake it until the tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Now cool the cake completely and frost it with icing.

4. To Prepare Icing; take a saucepan, melt butter in it and then add brown sugar in it. Cook it by stirring regularly. When the bubbles appear in mixture then take off the pan from heat. Keep it to cool for about 5 minutes. Mix milk in it and beat powdered sugar in it.
