Ginger Bread Cake Recipe

All purpose flour (1 1/2c), molasses (1/2c), water (3/4c), egg (1), sugar (1/2c), shortening (1/3c), salt (1/4tsp), baking soda (1/2tsp), ground ginger (1tsp) and whipped topping.
Method of preparation:-
Take a mixing bowl, cream sugar and shortening in it and then beat eggs in it. Mix molasses and water in a bowl. Take a bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda and ground ginger in it. Mix all these ingredients well and then add this flour mixture to the creamed mixture and also add the molasses mixture in it. Take a square baking pan of 8-inch, grease it and then pour the mixture into the pan. Place the pan in oven and bake it for about 25 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees F or until the wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Take it out from oven and then serve it warm with whipped topping.
