Almond Milk Custard Tart Recipe

1. Ground almonds (50gms)
2. vanilla extract (3drops)
3. flour (50gms)
4. caster sugar (75gms)
5. eggs (3)
6. milk (30ml)
7. short crust pastry (400gms)
8. dried beans (a few)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 180degrees C. Take a tart mold, line it with short crust pastry. Take a fork and prick the bottom of tart with it and then keep it in the refrigerator for about ½ an hour. Now take out the tart from the refrigerator, sprinkle some dried beans over it and blanch cook it for about 10 minutes.
2. Take out the mold from oven and carefully get rid the beans and brush the bottom of the crust with egg whites and then again cook the crust for 10 minutes more. Meanwhile keep the milk to boil with vanilla extract in a pot. When the milk starts boiling then add almond powder in it.
3. Now take off the pot from heat, cover it and keep it aside for about 5 minutes. Take a bowl, beat eggs and sugar in it and then add flour in it. Mix it well and then pour the hot milk into the egg mixture. Mix it properly and then pour it into the tart base. Place the tart in oven and bake it for 25 minutes at 160 degrees C.
