Burgundy Potato Cakes Recipe

1. Potatoes (12 oz)
2. cream (1tbsp)
3. flour (1 heaped tbsp)
4. egg (1)
5. salt and pepper (to taste)
6. lard
7. milk (3.5fl oz)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a large bowl, add flour, egg and cream in it. Mix all these ingredients to form thick batter.
2. Take potatoes, peel them and then grate them on clean cloth. Keep them for few minutes until they get change the color. Then slowly squeeze them in the cloth and then add them into the batter. Add milk in it to dilute the batter until it forms like a pancake batter. Add salt and pepper in it.
3. Take a frying pan, place it over heat and fry the batter in it for pancakes. Mix lard in it to cover the bottom of pan for each. Then turn the side and cook it until the pan cakes get brown from both sides. Make about 4 to 5 pancakes of 8-inches diameter.
