French Peach Pie Recipe

1. Fresh peaches, sliced (4c)
2. lemon juice (1tbsp)
3. brown sugar, firmly packed, divided (3/4c)
4. granulated sugar (1/2c)
5. cold water (2 to 3 tbsp)
6. shortening (1/2c)
7. salt (1/2tsp)
8. sieved flour (1/2c)
9. cornstarch (1tbsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, add sieved flour and salt in it. Cut in shortening with two knives or pastry blender. Keep aside the ½ cup of flour-shortening mixture.
2. Put the rest of the flour mixture in cold water; mix it lightly with fork until the dough makes a ball. Then roll the ball of dough and place it in plate pie of 9-inch. Fold the edges of pie to make shell shape.
3. Take a bowl; add sliced peaches, cornstarch, lemon juice, ½ cup of brown sugar and sugar in it. Mix it lightly and place it in pie shell. Now mix reserved flour mixture and rest of ¼ cup of brown sugar. Then dust this mixture over the top of peach filling.
4. Place the pie shell in oven and bake it for 45 to 50 degrees F at 425 degrees F. when the pie gets ready then take it out from oven. Keep it to cool slightly and then serve it.
