Cherry Almond Pie Recipe

1. Almond flavored liqueur (2 tbsp)
2. fresh cherries, pitted and quartered (4 cups)
3. tapioca, soaked in water (5tbsp for about 1 ½ hours)
4. prepared pie crust or favorite pie crust recipe (2)
5. almond paste, grated (1/3 cup)
6. lemon juice (1/2 tsp)
7. dark brown sugar (1/4 cup)
8. sugar (1/4 cup)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, put cherries in it and then add almond paste, almond liqueur, lemon juice, sugar and brown sugar in it. Keep this mixture for ½ hour. Then strain water from the tapioca and add it to the cherry mixture.
2. Take a pie pan of 9-inch with nonstick oil and line it with one crust. Spread the almond paste over the crust. Then make the slits on the top of pie.
3. Place it in oven and bake it for about 10 minutes at 450 degrees F. then turn down the temperature of oven to 350 degrees F. and bake it for about 30 to 40 minutes until the crust becomes golden in color.
