Raspberry Lemonade Granita Recipe

1. Raspberries (1pint)
2. water (3c)
3. sugar (3/4c)
4. lemons (2 plus 1 additional per recipe)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take lemons, grate 1 teaspoon peel and then squeeze ¼ cup of juice from them.
2. Take a saucepan of 1 quart, place it over high heat. Add 1 ½ cup of water, lemon peel and sugar in it. Keep it to boil by stirring until the sugar gets dissolve. Then take off the pan from heat and mix raspberries in it and then keep it to cool at room temperature.
3. Take a food processor with knife blade attached. Pour the mixture in the bowl of processor and blend it to make puree. Then press the puree through sieve into a bowl and throw out the seeds. Add rest of 1 ½ cup of water and lemon juice in it.
4. Pour this mixture into a metal baking pan of 9-inch. Cover the pan and freeze the mixture for about 1 ½ hours until it gets frozen around the edges.
5. Scrape ice from the edges and mix it to the center. After every 30 minutes repeat this process until the mixture turns into ice. Keep granite at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving to soften slightly. Take chilled dessert dishes and serve granite in dishes.
