Gajar Ka Halwa Recipe
This recipe contains carrot, milk, ghee, and all the nuts and dry fruit you like to add in it.
Ingredients
Milk (1 litre), Carrots (1 kg), Ghee (3 tablespoons), Raisins (2 tablespoons), Cardamom seeds (1 teaspoon), Pistachios (2 tablespoons), Almonds (2 tablespoons), Water (3/4 cup), Sugar (450 grams)
Method Of Preparation:-
Firstly wash the carrots and grate them. Boil water and add carrots in it. Cook for 5-7 minutes and add milk. Cook it on a low heat for at least one hour. In the mean time soak the raisins for 30 minutes. Now blanch and shred the nuts. As your halwa is cooking stir it occasionally and add sugar after it has been cooked for 1 hr. cook till the sugar is dissolved and all the milk is absorbed. Now add ghee and cook for 2-3 minutes on simmer. Add raisins and crushed cardamoms. Mix them well and remove from heat. Arrange it on a plate and garnish with almonds ans pistachios. You can serve it hot or cold or even at room temperature
