Cool and Creamy Key Lime Dessert Recipe

For Crust:-
1. All purpose flour (1c)
2. grated lime peel (1tsp)
3. finely chopped pecans or walnuts (1/2c)
4. firm butter or margarine (1/2c)
For Filling:-
1. Whipping cream (2c)
2. grated lime peel (2tsp)
3. Key lime juice or regular lime juice (1/2c)
4. sweetened condensed milk (1 can about 14 oz)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a bowl of medium size, place flour in it and cut in butter with pastry blender until it gets mixed. Mix 1 teaspoon of lime peel and walnuts in it.
2. Take an ungreased square pan of 9-inch, press batter in the bottom of the pan. Place the pan in oven and bake it for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees F until it changes to light brown in color. Then take it out from oven and cool it completely for about 30 minutes.
3. Take a bowl of medium size, add 2 teaspoon of lime peel, lime juice and condensed milk in it. Mix the ingredients and then keep aside the bowl.
4. Take a chilled bowl of large size, beat whipping cream in it and add food color in it. Mix it with electric mixer on high speed until it becomes stiff.
5. Then add lime mixture into the whipped cream and mix it well. Pour it over crust, cover it and keep it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until it becomes chilled. Now the dessert is ready to serve.
