Damson Plums Recipe

1. Damson plums (1.3kg)
2. egg (1)
3. ground cinnamon (1tsp)
4. baking powder (2tsp)
5. flour (600gms)
6. salt (a pinch)
7. butter (400gms)
8. sugar (200gms)
9. breadcrumbs (2tbsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 180 degrees C. Take a bowl; add egg, cinnamon, baking powder, flour, a pinch of salt, butter and sugar in it. Mix all the ingredients with hand mixer to make soft dough.
2. Take a baking tray of 40*30 cm, grease it. With floured hands take out 2/3 of the dough and roll it and then fit it in the greased tray and press it properly into the corners. Keep the rest of the dough in cool pace for an hour.
3. Take damson plums, halve them and take out the stones from them. Now take dough base, prick it with fork and spread breadcrumbs all over it and then arrange the halved plums with cut side up over the dough.
4. Now take the cooled dough, break it into crumbs and then spread it all over the layer of plums. Place it in oven and bake it for 40 minutes at 180 degrees C. Now German damson plums are ready to serve. Enjoy the plums with coffee.
