German Apple Cake Recipe (Versunkener Apfelkuchen)

Ingredients
1. Sliced apples (2 to 3)
2. plain flour (250gms)
3. milk (1 to 2 tbsp)
4. baking powder (1 1/2tbsp)
5. salt (a pinch)
6. vanilla sugar (1packet)
7. eggs (3)
8. soft butter (125 gms)
9. sugar (200gms)

Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 180 degrees C. Take a round cake tin of 10-inch, grease it and keep it aside. Take a large bowl; mix all the ingredients except apples.

2. Pour the mixture into the greased cake tin and make the top flat and smooth. Gently press the apple pieces in the cake mixture at random so they sink slightly into the mixture.

3. Place the tin in the oven and bake it at 180 degrees C for about 25 minutes. Keep the cake in the oven for about 10 minutes after baking. Then take it out and insert a tooth pick in the center of cake. If it comes out clean then the cake is ready. Keep it to cool and then serve it.
