German Apple Pan Cakes Recipe

Ingredients
Apples (600gms), flour (100gms), milk (400gms), eggs (4), lemon juice (2 dessert spoons), salt (1/2tsp), oats (100gms), icing or powdered sugar (30gms), fat (for frying).

Method of preparation:-
german-apple-pan-cakesTake a bowl, sieve flour in it and then make well in the center of flour. Beat eggs in flour. Then alternately add milk and oats in it and beat the properly to make it smooth. Add salt in it and keep it aside for about 10 minutes. Take apples, wash and peel and then cut them into slices. Sprinkle the lemon juice over the apple slices to stop them browning. Take a pan of 26 cm, heat oil or fat in it. Place the 1/4 of apples in the pan and pour ¼ of batter mixture with spoon over the apples. Cover the p[an and cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Then turn over the pan cakes and cook them for 3 minutes more. Repeat the same process to make more pancakes. Sprinkle the powdered sugar over the cakes and serve them and enjoy the German pancakes with fruit compote.
