Ginger Apple Vegan Sorbet Recipe

1. Fresh minced ginger (1tbsp)
2. cinnamon stick (1 piece of 2-inch)
3. water (1 1/4c)
4. sugar (1 1/2c)
5. juice from (1lemon)
6. Apples (1 1/4 pounds, Granny Smith are best)
Method Of Preparation:-
1. Take apples, wash them and cut them into thin slices with skin. Mix apple slices with lemon juice and then place in freezer for overnight.
2. Next day, take a pan, place it over heat. Prepare syrup by adding water and sugar in it, Keep it to boil and then add ginger and cinnamon stick in it. Turn down the heat to low and keep it to simmer for about 5 minutes. Then pour the syrup over the apples and mix it.
3. Take a food processor, add apple and syrup mixture in the bowl of processor. Process it until the puree becomes smooth. Then freeze it in the ice cream maker according to the manufacturer instructions. Keep it to soften slightly and then serve it.
Makes about 1 quarter of fat free ginger apple vegan sorbet.
