Empanadas Recipe

1. All purpose flour, sifted (1c)
2. butter, softened (1/2c)
3. white sugar (1/3c)
4. cream cheese (1package about 3 ounce)
5. ground cinnamon (1tsp)
6. fruit preserves (1c)
Method Of Preparation:-
1. Take a large bowl, add cream cheese and butter in it and then blend it until it becomes smooth. Then mix flour in it to form soft dough.
2. Make small balls of the dough and wrap them in the foil. Place the dough balls in the refrigerator for overnight. Next day take out the dough balls from the refrigerator 30 minutes before using. Heat the oven to 375 degrees F.
3. Take chilled dough, roll it and then cut it into 3 to 4 round cookies with cutter. Then place a tablespoonful of jam in the center of the round, moisten the edges and then fold the edges towards the center.
4. Place the stuffed cookies on ungreased cookie sheet. Place the sheet in oven and bake it for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then take out the cookies from the oven and roll them immediately in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
